April 2004, The miracle of Spring returns.  Of course here in Victoria Spring doesn't really appear miraculously.  In fact it almost seems that it's been here since December.  The flower shown here is some variety of snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis).  This picture was taken on Christmas Hill in Victoria British Columbia on 21 February 2004.

Update: 14 April 2004. Thanks to Bob we now know that this is a Snowdrop not a Snowbell. It is in fact some variety of Galanthus nivalis.
