This is the view from the beach at McKenzie Bight, part of the Saanich Inlet near Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island on 2015-02-01. This kind of drizzly weather with a completely overcast sky is reasonably typical Vancouver Island weather for this time of year. Temperatures tend to lie in the low single digits (around 5 °C) at this time of year.

The water in this photo is speckled with the tiny splashes from raindrops. Tattered cumulus clouds are piled up against the slope across the inlet where the gentle wind is likely slowing down and rising up against the topography where it is picking up even more moisture from the wet temperate rainforest.

McKenzie Bight is in Gowlland Tod Provincial Park.
