Looking south from the Selkirk Trestle, the inner harbour and Halket island in the foreground, we see a beautiful solar halo. Probably a common 22°  solar halo it's caused by pencil shaped ice crystals high the troposphere refracting and diffracting sunlight into a circular rainbow like pattern around the sun.
