Welcome to the Climate Modelling Lab of the University of Victoria!
Here is a brief introduction to who we are and what we do.
The Climate Modelling Group at the University of Victoria consists of three
faculty members, seven research associates and 14 graduate
students. The group is involved in modelling and analysis of past, present
and future climate primarily using their locally developed comprehensive
Earth System Climate Model, known internationally as the "UVic coupled model".
Members of the group come from diverse backgrounds in physics, mathematics,
engineering, oceanography and geology and from all over the world (Canada,
Australia, Brazil, China, England, France, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, United States). The
diverse group of individuals leads to a dynamic and exciting work environment
and collaborations with many international researchers.
Here are some pdf files with (mostly) non-technical language about what we do here at the lab. page

We made a brief slideshow for the Vancouver Island Tech Fair. You may
download it from this link (4.3 MB pdf --
now quite dated) .
