This file contains "rotated" data for the 2.7 release of the University of Victoria Earth System Climate Model (UVic_ESCM). Individual files may be accessed through the main UVic_ESCM link. Compressed, the file is approximately 8.1 Mb. Uncompressed, the file is approximately 26.1 Mb. After expansion files will be placed in a UVic_ESCM/2.7/data.100.100.19/rot directory. The data is only for use with a grid using a displaced pole. Regularly gridded data is included in the main UVic_ESCM.2.7.tar.gz file. The directory structure is similar to the main data directory. There is no longer an option to run with a rotated grid (rot_grid). The code is the same - only the data is different. All that is needed to run a "rotated" model is to modify the Data_Source variable, in the mk.in file, to point to the rotated data. For example, to change the default example to a rotated model, change the settings in mk.in to: Data_Source(1) = data.100.100.19/rot/mth Data_Source(2) = data.100.100.19/rot/ice Data_Source(3) = data.100.100.19/rot/crops Filtering is usually not required for a rotated model so filtering options may be commented out in the mk.in file.
