Day 3

Egg number 3 hatched last night

two baby budgies, chicks, full crop, short wings, bald, pink,
Notice that the oldest chick has a full crop. I guess Mom is feeding it somehow.
The feeding process that I have been able to watch seems inefficient and messy.

They can't lift their fat heads yet.

Here is the newest chick. They all came out of the shells the same way.
The top third of the shell comes off like a lid.
