Day 9

two baby budgies 8 and 9 (eight and nine) days old.

The difference between the two chicks is increasing. One is a lot bigger as can be seen in the photo. This morning One's crop was empty while Two's crop was full. One can stand up and lift its head though it is quite wobbly and takes frequent breaks. Two is still just lying there. One of Two's legs is improving, moving more underneath its body. We don't get much time to observe the behaviour of the chicks and adults in the nest so I can't really say if One is actively working to push Two to the margins of mom's (and dad's) attention.
